PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a joint for a down pipe capable of increasing a drain treating quantity of a rain gutter without impairing an outward appearance. SOLUTION: This joint 1 for the down pipe is a hollow joint having a hollow drain passage 6 inside by connecting the down pipes 15 and 16 used for draining; and has a constricted part 4 for forming an opening part 5 smaller than an inner diameter of the down pipes 15 and 16 in the drain passage 6 by projecting in the drain passage 6 from a peripheral wall 2.
