PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission ratio variable steering device for obtaining excellent steering feeling by suppressing unnatural feeling in a rotating operation of a steering wheel by a driver. SOLUTION: A VGRSECU 46 calculates rotary angular speed dΘ/dt of a steering input shaft 12 according to the rotating operation of the steering wheel 11 and rotary angular speed dθ/dt of a VGRS motor 21 of a variable gear ratio actuator 20. The ECU 46 calculates operation speedβ×N of an EPS motor 33. The ECU 46 operates and controls the VGRS motor 21 so that the rotary angular speed dθ/dt may be smaller than the calculated operation speedβ×N of the EPS motor 33. As a result, the VGRS motor 21 can be operated and controlled so that the rotary angular speed dθ/dt of the VGRS motor 21 may be smaller than the operation speedβ×N, even if load in relation to the EPS motor 33 is increased and the operation speedβ×N becomes small, and the followability of the EPS motor 33 can be secured.
