PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a user can easily confirm a lot of moving images and still images photographed by one or a plurality of digital cameras. SOLUTION: When making the moving images and the still images photographed by one or a plurality of the digital cameras around the same time to associate with each other, photographing date and time of each scene of the moving images are calculated by using preparation date and time and recording time of a moving image file. Image retrieval of the still images, which are photographed near the photographing date and time of the moving images, is executed by using the photographing date and time of each scene of the moving images. The still images are found high in degree of similarity to each scene of the moving images. The moving images and the still images are made to associate with each other. Consequently, the operation for association and classification is executed by the degree of similarity between the moving images and the still images photographed around the same time.
