PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump which makes it easy to assemble and show little operating sound and pressure fluctuation. SOLUTION: A deviation occurs between the rotational centerline axis and the center of gravity of a rotor 40 by installing a recess 45 in the rotor 40. Therefore, centrifugal force applied on the rotor 40 becomes unbalance to apply pushing force on the rotor 40 toward a shaft 13 side. Thereby, even when the shaft 13 and the rotor 40 are assembled by loosely engaging, the rotor 40 stably rotates together with the shaft 13. Since the shaft 13 and the rotor 40 are assembled by loosely engaging, stable rotation can be obtained for the rotor 40 without raising the shape precision of the shaft 13 and the rotor 40. As a result, it is easy to assemble, and the backlash of the shaft 13 and the rotor 40 at the rotation of the rotor 40 is reduced so that the operating sound and the pressure fluctuation in the discharged fluid can be reduced.
