Lining (1) comprises an aluminum foil (4) facing the engine and lying on an intermediate layer (3) made from a light foam. The side of the intermediate layer facing the separating wall (2) is covered with a thermoplastic film (5). An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a lining.
