Disclosed herein is a communication system for making data transmission via a predetermined transmission line between a storage device (5) having a storage area accessed in one of a page unit and a sector unit and a control device (6) requesting access to data in a file unit, wherein the control device (6) transmits a request for access to one of each page and each sector forming a file requested to be accessed to the storage device (5) via the transmission line, and the storage device (5) sequentially accesses one of a requested page and a requested sector, whereby a request for access to the entire file is realized in the storage area.
