Polyolefin compositions, process for their preparation and use thereof

The compositions comprise polymers of olefins functionalized by carboxylic acids, their esters, anhydrides and metal salts, and stabilizers comprising sterically blocked phenol groups and up to one ester group (at least one stabilizer preferably contains no ester group). The compositions preferably contain 0.001-1 wt.% of stabilizer, and can be diluted in non-functionalized olefin polymer. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the use of one or more of stabilizers as described above for stabilization of functionalized olefin polymers as claimed; (2) process of preparation of stabilized compositions comprising one or more functionalized olefin polymers and one or more stabilizers, comprising mixing, in molten state, in screw extruder, one or more olefin polymers, one or more functionalizing agents, one or more radical initiators, one or more stabilizers as described above, and optionally one or more additives; and (3) the use of compositions as claimed or obtained by the process as claimed for compatibilizing olefin polymers with other polymers (epoxy resins), fillers and metallic substrates which are normally non-compatible with olefin polymers, also for multilayer adhesion, and for multilayer coating of steel tubes.
