PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint yoke having improved productivity and low cost while preventing breakage or crack at the edge of a tab connection portion during bending formation of a cylindrical hub, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The universal joint yoke comprises the cylindrical hub opened at its sides and a pair of forks articulated to the single edge of the cylindrical hub. The cylindrical hub and the forks are formed of one metal plate and both side opened portions of the cylindrical hub are fastened to each other with a bolt. The single edge of the hub on the opposite side to the side opened portion of the cylindrical hub and on the articulated side of the fork is formed into an end face shape perpendicular to the axial line of the hub, and the outer peripheral face of the hub linked to the single edge of the hub is formed into a circumferential face shape with no extruded portion to the outside.
