A production process for forming meandering layers on a substrate comprises using a template to produce a layer of separated regions in a Z-form and a second template to form a second layer in a mirror image Z-form. The central Z regions are arranged by one another and the arms of the Zs overlap. An independent claim is also included for templates for the above process.
