<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft for a vehicle steering in which a sliding resistance is reduced, a stable sliding load is realized, an anti-wearing characteristic is improved and looseness of the shaft is positively prevented. <P>SOLUTION: This telescopic shaft for a vehicle steering is assembled into a steering shaft of a vehicle and both a male spline shaft and a female spline shaft are fitted to each other in such a way that they may not be rotated but slidable. This is characterized in that the surface of spline fitted part of one of the male spline shaft and female spline shaft is coated with a film of nylon resin, grease containing poly-α-olefin acting as base oil and lithium soap acting as thickening agent is placed between the male spline shaft and female spline shaft, and grease has a kinematic viscosity of 20 mm<SP>2</SP>/s or more at 40°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
