PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind direction detector which is set without surveying azimuth in setting and constituted easily and at a low cost. SOLUTION: A shaft is freely rotatably attached on a support device and a wind direction indicator (wing) is attached to the shaft tip end. Also at the bottom end of the shaft, an X-axis sensor 11 detecting the terrestrial magnetism and a Y-axis sensor 12 detecting the terrestrial magnetism in the direction perpendicular to the detection direction of the X-axis sensor 11 are attached. The output of the X, Y-axis sensors 11, 12 are input in an amplifier 14 via a switching means 13 and amplified, converted to digital data in an A/D converter 15, and output to a analyzer 7 via an interface circuit 16. The analyzer 7 detects the direction which the wind direction indicator directs from the data, and outputs the detection results to a display 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
