PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap hole opening and closing device for an ash melting furnace capable of easily closing a tap hole without causing molten metal leakage, capable of easily opening the closed tap hole without damaging the tap hole, and allowing carrying out of tapping and tapping stoppage by stopping discharge of molten objects from the tap hole midway. SOLUTION: The device is for opening and closing a tap hole of the ash melting furnace, it comprises the tap hole provided on an ash melting crucible, and an opening and closing tap for opening and closing the tap hole, and it is characterized by that the tap hole is closed by slidably turning and pressing the opening and closing tap with respect to the tap hole.
