PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily setting a region desired to be picked up with good image quality (beautifully) in an image, in picking up the image including a main object. SOLUTION: The object region in the image is obtained (S1002), a region image representing this region is superimposed on the position of the object in this image and displayed (S1004), a high image quality region in this image is instructed by using the region represented by the region image (S1004), and a control parameter is controlled so that the image in the high image quality region becomes an image of desired image quality (S1005).
