PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium driving device that can be applied with disk-like recording media having different size, and is suitable for reduction in thickness. SOLUTION: A disk feed mechanism 50 is provided within a device body 10 to feed an optical disk 1 inserted into a slot 10A to a turntable 23. In the disk feed mechanism 50, feed rate is decreased in the case of a large optical disk 1, and feed rate is increased in the case of a small optical disk 1.
