PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite particles wherein the surface activity of zinc oxide is highly inhibited, and to prepare a cosmetic containing the same. SOLUTION: The composite particles are obtained by treating particles comprising a polyolefin-based resin and zinc oxide with an anionic surfactant. The cosmetic contains the composite particles.
