A drive/receiving unit (DRU) (2) stimulates a mechanically oscillating unit (MOU) (1) so as to oscillate by starting with an electric triggering signal (ETS) (Sa). It picks up the oscillations of the MOU and converts them into an electric receiving signal (Se) picked up from the DRU and processed by a control device (3) that generates the ETS and passes it on to the DRU.
