PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image synchronized with a current time with limited data in an apparatus which displays an image corresponding to a current time by a display device. SOLUTION: The image display system 1 comprises a display section 25 for displaying an image on a cellular phone 3, a storage section 35 in which image data for displaying a current time on the display section 25 in a recognizable manner is stored, and a control section 20 for controlling the cellular phone 3. The control section 20 has a timing function for measuring the current time, reads the image data stored in the storage section 35 each time a time signal is inputted, determines coordinates and direction in a virtual space which arranges the image data on the basis of the time signal, arranges the image data on the determined coordinates with the determined direction in the virtual space each time the coordinates and direction are determined, generates display data indicating a state in which a partial area in the virtual space is viewed from a predetermined direction of a line of sight, and performs arithmetic processing for outputting the generated display data to a display means.
