DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING TECHNICAL PRODUCTION PROCESSES BY COMPACTING, CONSOLIDATING AND ANALYZING PROCESS/QUALITY DATA

The aim of the invention is to provide a device and a method for optimizing technical production processes by compacting, consolidating and analyzing process/quality data. For this purpose, measured data series from technical production processes are compacted in several steps to process characteristic values. These characteristic values meet the requirements of including the important process information and of having a high comparability with other processes or process states. The process characteristic values so obtained are stored in relation to other data relevant to production, process and quality. Complex data analyses using OLAP systems, data mining, multivariate methods of analysis or other methods are carried out with this information in order to find dependencies and conspicuous data. Based on these dependencies and conspicuous data, deliberations can be made regarding new process parameters which can then be integrated into the production process e.g. in the form of a control loop.
