<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor mixture containing a red phosphor and at least one phosphor having an emission spectrum maximum peak in the wavelength region of 500 to 630 nm and to provide a light-emitting device having the phosphor mixture and a light-emitting part. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphor mixture comprises a red phosphor comprising divalent, trivalent, and tetravalent elements and nitrogen (and optionally oxygen) and at least one phosphor having an emission spectrum maximum peak in the wavelength region of 500 to 630 nm. For instance, the mixture comprises CaAlSiN<SB>3</SB>:Eu as the red phosphor, CaAl<SB>2</SB>Si<SB>4</SB>N<SB>8</SB>:Eu as an orange phosphor, and YAG:Ce as a commercial yellow-green phosphor. The light-emitting device having the phosphor mixture and the light-emitting part exhibits sufficient luminance and rendering properties. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
