PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing method and an installing device for a edge frame material, capable of easily performing attaching-detaching work of a panel onto a support base and set work of the edge frame material onto the panel, in a state of opening an upper part of the support base for supporting the panel. SOLUTION: The panel 11 is supported on the support base 12. A tool 15 is set on the support base 12 so that its edge frame material 13 is superposed on a peripheral edge surface of an opening part 11a of the panel 11 in a state of holding the edge frame material 13 in the tool 15. In its set state, an operation member 26 is engaged with a fixing object member 24 of the tool 15 by an actuator 25, and the tool 15 is drawn to the panel 11 via the opening part 11a of the panel 11 from the support base 12 side, and the edge frame material 13 is press-fitted to the peripheral edge surface of the opening part 11a.
