PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit capable of easily specifying a position of blocking and removing a foreign matter when a draining duct is blocked up by the foreign matter. SOLUTION: In this outdoor unit 2 wherein a heat exchanging chamber 200 comprising a heat exchanger 21 is mounted at an upper stage, and a machine chamber 300 comprising a compressor 20 and electric components is mounted at a lower stage, and the machine chamber 300 and the heat exchanging chamber 200 are partitioned through a drain pan 60, the duct 4 for circulating the water from a drain hole 60B of the drain pan 60 extends from the drain pan 60 toward a bottom plate 66 of the machine chamber 300, an outer periphery of the duct 4 is partially opened, and the opened part of the duct 4 is closed by an external facing panel 68 covering the machine chamber 300, thus the outer periphery of the duct 4 is closed.
