PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively take out the generated power of a thermoelectric generator without installing a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: A controller 16 controls power that is generated at a thermoelectric module 12 and inputted to the primary side of a transformer of a DC-DC converter 14 by controlling the on/off of a switching element, and thus controls power inputted to the DC-DC converter 14. The switching elements connected in series and two resistors R are connected between the thermoelectric module 12 and the DC-DC converter 14 so as to be in parallel with the thermoelectric module 12 and the DC-DC converter 14, and the switching elements are connected between the thermoelectric module 12 and the DC-DC converter 14, and between the two resistors R. Then, a short-circuit current is obtained from a current and a voltage flowing in one resistor R when the switching element FET (S2) is turned on, and an operating current is determined, thus making the controller 16 control the switching element FET (S0).
