PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mold roll which can easily produce irregularity of a cylindrical surface with sufficient dimensional accuracy, a mold roll which can make a sheet of a processing object not to generate a burr and form irregularity with sufficient dimensional accuracy using the method, and an optical sheet produced by using the mold roll. SOLUTION: A plating processing is performed to the inner surface of an original board of a cylindrical shape in which refined irregularity is formed on its inner surface, subsequently the above original board is removed, and a plating member (metal cylinder) 30 of a seamless cylindrical shape having refined irregularity is inserted into the periphery of a roll mold base material MR to form a roll mold 40.
