<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict generation of uncomfortable contact noise caused by contact between metal and resin by covering the outer periphery of a metallic stopper piece press fitted into a shaft of a propeller shaft supporting structure so as to set an axial position of a center bearing with a molded resin covering part and by performing a rotational sliding contact between the outer periphery of the piece and a seal member made of resin through the covering part. <P>SOLUTION: A propeller shaft 1 is supported inside an inner ring 2A of an annular supporting member 2 through a center bearing 3. An axial position setting of the center bearing 3 is performed by abutting a right end 4b of a stopper piece 4 press fitted into the propeller shaft 1 against its left end part 3a1. Although the stopper piece 4 is rotationally and slidably contacted with a seal member S1 made of resin at a part of its outer periphery 4A, this contacted state is attained through a molded covering part 42 at the outer periphery 4A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
