PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow stopper to surely hold a surfboard so that the connection with the surfboard is not released even if being heavily rolled in the wave without making handling complicated. SOLUTION: The flow stopper is equipped with a rope 22, a body connection tool which is attached to the rope 22 at its one end, and mounted to the body of the surfer, and a surfboard connection tool 23 which is attached to the other end of the rope 22, and mounted to the surfboard. The surfboard connection tool 23 has an elongate belt-like connection body 2 in the longitudinal direction which is folded back passing through an annular string body 1 of the surfboard, and held by a first hook-and-loop fastener in a state of multiple folding. Further the surfboard connection tool 23 has a belt-like winding part 5 which is wound in the width direction of the connection body 2 and can be held by a second hook-and-loop fastener 4.
