PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece fixing method of arranging a plurality of workpieces of different thickness at a fixed height to fix them with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The workpiece fixing method comprises a process of preparing an aligning member 1 having a workpiece fixing surface 11, sticking the plurality of workpieces 3 closely to a water soluble fixing agent 2 in a melted state on the workpiece fixing surface 11 of the aligning member 1, and then solidifying the water soluble fixing agent 2 to fix the plurality of workpieces 3 to the aligning member 1; a process of preparing a fixed base 5 having a fixing agent filling space 51, and arranging the aligning member 1 so that the plurality of workpieces 3 fixed to the aligning member 1 are located in a fixing agent filling space 51 in the fixed base 5; a process of sticking the plurality of workpieces 3 closely to a water non-soluble fixing agent 6 in a melted state in the fixing agent filling space 51, and then solidifying the water non-soluble fixing agent 6 to fix the aligning member 1 with the plurality of workpieces 3 fixed thereto, to the fixed base 5; and a process of dissolving the water soluble fixing agent 2 with water to remove the aligning member 1 from the plurality of workpieces 3.
