摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, capable of reducing emission gas components NOx from an internal combustion engine, replacing an EGR device that causes contamination in an intake air introducing pipe or a combustion chamber, capable of reducing harmful emission gas by improving combustion efficiency in low to middle load operation, and activating DPF and catalyst by temperature rise of exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 2HA and a humidifier 3KA are installed on the intake air introducing pipe of the internal combustion engine, and temperature and humidity of intake air are optimized in accordance with operation states of the internal combustion engine and states of emission gas. In low load operation, intake air temperature is increased to improve combustion efficiency and rise emission gas temperature, so that the DPF and catalyst devices are activated to reduce harmful emission gas. Water content in intake air is regulated by the humidifier 3KA to reduce emission gas components NOx, and emission gas is not recirculated as in the EGR device. Contamination of the intake air introducing pipe and the combustion chamber is thus prevented, and life of the internal combustion engine is elongated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
