PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing apparatus capable of enhancing the productivity of an image forming device by providing an exclusive path of paper sheets not for post-processing. SOLUTION: A gate G to branch paper sheets P received by an inlet roller 22 into two paths (flows) is provided on the downstream side of the inlet roller 22. The gate G has a wedge-shaped cross-section, and a wedge-shaped pointed portion is directed to a vicinity of a rolling contact surface of the inlet roller 22. The gate G is turnably and pivotably supported by a side wall part in a sheet post-processing apparatus 7. The wedge-shaped pointed portion is located at the first position to substantially point an upper inlet roller 22a and the second position to substantially point a lower inlet roller 22b. The first position is a case of selecting the path in which the post-processing is required for the paper sheets P, and the second position is a case of selecting the path in which the post-processing is not required for the paper sheets P. When the gate G is at the first position, the paper sheets P are fed to a first paper feed roller 24, and fed from the first paper feed roller 24 to a standby tray 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
