FOLDING PORTABLE TELEPHONE

A folding portable telephone in which photographing can be started quickly in a short time by means of a camera after opening a case. The folding portable telephone (100) comprising an upper case (3) equipped with a display section (2), a lower case (5) equipped with an operating section (4), and a hinge portion (6) for coupling the upper case (3) and the lower case (5) to be opened/closed freely is further provided with a button (7) for opening the upper case (3) from the lower case (5) up to a position where the lower case (5) can be operated. The upper case (3) has a camera surface (9) provided with a camera (8) and a surface (10) for displaying a photographed image on the opposite side of the camera surface (9) and the button (7) is arranged on the end face at the hinge portion. The button (7) is supported reciprocally through a supporting hole (11) provided in the end face at the hinge portion of the upper case (3), and provided with a protrusion contact (20) consisting of a conductive part (12) and a resilient member (13) such that the protrusion contact (20) comes into contact with a substrate side contact portion (14) when the button (7) is pushed. The camera (8) is actuated after being conducted electrically for a predetermined time and photographing can be started by pushing the button (7) again.
