<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cutting apparatus for scrap materials for safely and efficiently cutting various kinds of large-sized scraps that are produced in a steel mill, particularly, in a steel mill of a continuous operation. <P>SOLUTION: The gas cutting apparatus 5 are provided with a scrap truck 1 for loading a scrap S so that cutting can be performed, a first track 2 for enabling the scrap truck to be moved in and out of a gas cutting area, a second track installed parallel to the first track, and a gas cutting truck 4 that moves on the second track along the first track, wherein the scraps loaded on the gas cutting truck, so as to be movable vertically and forwards/backwards and brought in the gas cutting area, are cut on the scrap truck. In addition, a dust collection cover 11 for covering the gas cutting area is provided in a manner that the scrap truck can be moved in and out and that the gas cutting apparatus can be inserted from the back. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
