PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress hunting of engine speed when a shift position is in an N range, in controlling idle speed of an engine to which an automatic transmission is connected. SOLUTION: With the shift position of the automatic transmission in the N range, when hunting is generated in engine speed in the situation where the temperature of ATF of the automatic transmission is low (Steps S102 to S103), target idle speed set to be high to improve heating performance etc. is lowered (Step S104), and control to maintain a stable idle operating condition is executed by priority.
