PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device preventing a great error in a count value showing the rotation angle of a crankshaft resulting from wrong detection of a missing tooth in a simple construction. SOLUTION: A crank processing section 20 corrects the count value of a front counter 21 to a value which should be originally taken at the original detection timing of the missing tooth at the detection timing of the missing tooth only when one noise is produced and one pulse which should be originally produced is missed in an NE10 signal, and a value of tMCntH is a value available at the original detection timing of the missing tooth.
