PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow image information imaged by a mobile object to be retrieved in a form like recollecting human memory. SOLUTION: A mobile object such as a camera is connected to a network; attribute values of measurement information such as brightness, color, humidity, atmospheric pressure, sound volume and weather in imaging/inputting image information are acquired by the mobile object; they are stored along with the image information; in subsequent retrieval, an attribute database for relating the attribute values or ranges thereof to a plurality of retrieval keys in a one-to-many manner is consulted to covert the retrieval keys to the attribute values; and information is retrieved by using retrieval information including the attribute values.
