PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination method and a decontamination system for a finned heat exchanger to perform highly reliable decontamination while reducing a cost. SOLUTION: This decontamination method is used for the finned heat exchanger 20 equipped with a heat transfer tube 21 with its interior serving as a flow path for a heat medium and a fin 22 disposed in such a manner as to be thermally connected to the transfer tube 21 for enlarging an area for heat exchange with the heat medium. This method includes a separation process for separating the fin 22 from the transfer tube 21 and a decontamination process for blast-decontaminating the fin 22 separated in the separation process.
