<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rush current suppressor which can sufficiently suppress both an exciting rush current which flows to a power converter in power conversion equipment using a motor-driven generator as a power supply and a charge rush current which flows to a smoothing capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: This power conversion equipment is equipped with a motor-driven high-voltage AC generator 1, a power converter 3, a power transformer T0 which transforms the voltage of the high-voltage AC generator 1 into specified voltage and supplies it to the power converter 3, and an operation switch SW1 which opens and closes the connection between this power transformer T0 and the high-voltage AC generator 1. This is provided with a transformer T2 for charge which steps down the voltage of the high-voltage AC generator 1 so as to form a low-voltage auxiliary AC power source and also transforms the voltage of this low-voltage AC power source into voltage equal to the secondary output voltage of the power transformer T0. The primary side of this transformer T2 for charge is connected to the above low-voltage AC power source via a charge switch SW2 and a current limiting resistor R, and the secondary side is connected to the junction between the power transformer T0 and the power converter 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
