PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience and working efficiency of nursing work, done by a nurse staying in the nurse station. SOLUTION: One or more of bed slave units at listening places, out of two or more bed slave units installed at each bed in a hospital ward, are selected and stored previously in a memory unit 400 of a control unit 40. In addition to this way, the bed slave units at the listening places are allotted to two or more groups and stored in the control unit memory unit of the control unit previously. A nurse staying in the nurse station performs only listening initiation operation by using a nurse call master unit, and thereby the condition of the patient in a hospital ward is easily confirmed through listening to, under the control of CPU 401 of a control device, sound (transmission voice) entered in a microphone 102 at the one or more bed slave units, which are read from the memory unit of the control unit, or sound (transmission voice) entered in the slave unit microphone of a bed slave unit, which belongs to the group selected as the listening place.
