PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper joining device capable of easily joining ends of two folded paper sheets on one side or both sides in a labor-saving manner. SOLUTION: Upper and lower arms 9, 10 are provided interlockingly and synchronously opened/closed with respect to a paper sheet receiving face 1a having tape affixing holes in the longitudinal direction, a tape holding ring to hold an adhesive tape 29 held by each sliding member, a tape delivering device 26a to be delivered to the tape affixing hole side by the movement to one of both sliding members, and a tape cutting device 27a to cut the delivered adhesive tape are provided on the upper and lower sliding members 16, 17 provided on intermediate portions 9a, 10a of the arms in an interlockingly and synchronously sliding manner. The intermediate portions of the arms are parallel to the paper sheet receiving face when the arms are turned in a closing manner. Positioning members 4, 4a for a marginal punch hole of folded paper sheets across the tape affixing holes 3 at right angle are provided on at least rear side of the paper sheet receiving face.
