WATER PURIFICATION DEVICE AND WATER PURIFICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification device which can continuously be used for a long time without a deterioration in purification capacity due to clogging of filter material when continuing the use of the device, and a water purification method.

SOLUTION: The water purification device 1 has the filter material 5 and a float 3 for supporting the filter material 5, and can switch between a state where the filter material 5 is immersed in water and a state where the filter material 5 is not immersed in water. By switching between the states, the filter material 5 is washed to prevent the clogging of the filter material 5.
