摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device optical axis adjusting method that eliminates the need for a complex mechanism for adjusting the optical axis of a light source lamp, hence the need for a large installation space and an adjustment space, and the need to increase a manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the light source device optical axis adjustment method for adjusting the angle of the optical axis of the light source lamp 110 relative to a housing 116, a housing having four light source lamp receiving parts for supporting the light source lamp 110 from the back face of the light source lamp 110 is used as the housing 116. A universal spacer 160 is made ready for use such that it can be disposed striding across the two light source lamp receiving parts, which are adjacent to each other and arbitrarily selected from the four light source lamp receiving parts. While at least the one universal spacer 160 is disposed between the housing 116 and the light source lamp 110, the light source lamp 110 is fixed to the housing 116.
