PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running toy driven by the power of a spiral spring of a music box, and allowing both of normal playing of a tune by the music box and running without requiring pushing by a user, through gears on a rotary shaft provided at the spiral spring. SOLUTION: The running toy has the music box using the spiral spring. The running toy is provided with a driving portion composed of an intermittent crown gear attached on the rotary shaft provided at the spiral spring of the music box, and two small gears engaged with the intermittent crown gear and provided on the same shaft, and wheels rotated by driving the driving portion.
