摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a condensing filter having excellent condensing property which can be used for a liquid crystal display element by forming at least two resin layers having different refractive indices in contact with each other on a substrate in such a manner that the interface of these layers are formed into a curved face which can converge incident light to each opening on a counter substrate. SOLUTION: A coating film of a photosensitive resin plastic material having rather low refractive index is formed on a color filter layer 4 of a substrate 3. The coating film is then exposed and developed for patterning in such a manner that the film has a convex (lens-like part C) at the position corresponding to the border part 5 of colors which constitute the color filter layer 4 to form a resin layer (A) having a rather low refractive index and a rugged pattern. Then a resin layer (B) having rather a high refractive index and a flat surface essentially comprising a hardening resin of rather high refractive index is formed on the rugged pattern of the resin layer (A). Thus the condensing element is obtd. The interface between the resin layers (A) and (B) is formed into a curved face which can converge incident light 7 to each opening 2 of a TFT substrate 1. Thereby, the converging efficiency can be improved.
