The method for assessing the mutagenic hazard of the atmospheric pollutants for the population health comprises the detection of pollutants, especially those possessing the mutagenic properties, the calculation of the dose for each pollutant, and estimation of the total hazard index. Finally, the total index of the mutagenic hazard of the atmospheric pollutants is estimated.
