To prevent a terminal fitting from deformation.

[Solution]

Since a box-shaped portion 5 of a terminal fitting in the form of a rectangular tube is provided with entrance preventing walls 10, 11 continuous with the edge of an engaging hole 9 and an outer ceiling wall 8B, even if the leading end of a male tab portion tries to enter a space 13 at a side toward the tab portion or a space 14 at a side toward a barrel portion inside the box-shaped portion 5 of an other terminal fitting, it is blocked by the entrance preventing wall 10, 11 and cannot enter any further. Thus, the male tab does not enter the spaces 13, 14 inside the box-shaped portion 5, thereby being securely prevented from deformation.
