FIELD: ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, namely hot rolling processes and equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: cartridge includes shielding surface made of set of similar thin stripes, each stripe is secured to oblong carrying member by means of oblong suspension members separating carrying members one from other. Height of suspension members is such that they extend outside shielding surface and their length is such that they extend outside ends of carrying members. Carrying members may be in the form of rectangular box, rectangular or triangular pipe. It is possible to supply electric current to thin stripes. Shielding surface may be flat or concave one, closed or non-closed concave one. Suspension members in cartridges are in the form of plates and they have triangular cross section. Triangular pipe used as carrying member of cartridge is equal-lateral one. ^ EFFECT: improved operational reliability and efficiency of process due to lowered cooling degree of rolled piece at rolling, enhanced heat conservation of different configuration rolled products. ^ 12 cl, 11 dwg |
