Material sample`s thermal property determining device has a heat unit (2) that is arranged in an interior of a hollow cylinder shaped material sample (1) and admits an inner shell of the material sample with an allowed heat flux density. The material sample is contacted with a single temperature sensor (10) at a distance (R1) from a middle axis of the material sample. A sensor (4) detects temperature dependent alternative measurement of the sample. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a specific heat capacity, temperature conductivity and/or heat conductivity of a material sample.
