The de-stacking device (1) de-stacks a stack (2) of containers (3) such as plant pots. An upper holding arm (4) holds the stack and a lower holding arm (5) holds a pot for marking. There is also a separating arm (6) between the holding arms to separate the pot for marking (8) from the stack. A marker device (7) is directly connected to the de-stacking device, forming a common unit.
