PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a drawing hole so as not to affect the joining strength when manufacturing a link by the friction stir joining. SOLUTION: An expansion part 7 and a coupling recessed part 13 are provided on a mount-projecting part 5 of a bracket 4, and an end 2a of an arm part 2 is fitted in the coupling recessed part 13. Friction stir joining is performed with one expansion part 7 being a starting point 15 and the other expansion part 7 being a terminating point on the extension of a butted part of the end 2a to the mount-projecting part 5 in the coupling recessed part 13, and a rotary tool is drawn to form a drawing hole 16. The expansion part 7 locates the starting point 15 and the drawing hole 16 outside the butted part 6, and prevents degradation of the joining strength with the drawing hole 16 as the starting point. Further, the expansion part 7 itself increases the joining strength. The arm part 2 is formed by cutting an extrusion member of a substantially I-shaped section by a predetermined length.
