PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold automatic clamp device in a tire vulcanizer constituted so as to absorb upward external force when the upward external force unexpectedly acts on the clamp rod of the automatic clamp device by an operational mistake or the like to buffer an impact and capable of reducing the deformation of the clamp rod or the damage of an internal structure. SOLUTION: The mold automatic clamp device is equipped with a locking mechanism for locking or unlocking the locking part 30 of the clamp rod 3 with respect to a part 20 to be locked and a lock mechanism for locating the locking mechanism at a position on a locking side and a position on an unlocking side with respect to the part to be locked.
