PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an ink tank, and consequently, that of an ink-jet recording device body provided with the ink tank. SOLUTION: A movable separation wall 6 is freely slidably stored in a large cylindrical space provided to the inside of the ink tank 1. A fixing member 10 for fixing the ink tank is arranged to lateral end parts of the ink tank 1 respectively. A hollow needle 4 for discharging waste ink is fixed to the fixing member 10 on the left side of the figure. A hollow needle 9 for supplying ink is fixed to the fixing member 10 on the right side of the figure. The hollow needle 4 for discharging waste ink is inserted to the inside of the tank from a wall 2 on the left end of the ink tank 1. The hollow needle 9 for supplying ink is inserted to the inside of the tank from the wall 2 on the right end of the ink tank 1.
