PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle for controlling a vehicle without immediately shifting a mode to a fail-safe mode even when any communication abnormality is generated. SOLUTION: This controller for a vehicle is configured to transmit/receive a signal having timer information through a plurality of systems of communication means 14 and 15, and provided with a mutual signal comparing part 121 for comparing a signal value at a certain time inputted by one communication means 14 with a signal value at the same time inputted from the other communication means 15 and a signal selecting part (step S20) for, when the respective signal values are not matched as the result of the comparison of the mutual signal comparing part 121, selecting the signal value whose change amounts to the previous value are small.
